VIVIAN, LA (KSLA) -

One man is shot and another is in custody following an argument at a north Caddo parish bar late Friday night.

The shots were fired just after midnight in the parking lot of the J&J Lounge in the 17600 block of Louisiana Hwy 1 in Vivian.

Caddo Parish Sheriff's Detective Andy Scroggins says one of the men had left the bar and gotten into his truck. The second man followed, and there was an argument. At least one shot was fired, shattering the rear window of the truck and striking the victim in the stomach.

He was flown by Life Air to LSU Health in Shreveport, where he underwent surgery. There is no confirmation on his condition.

The suspected gunman is in custody. As of early Saturday morning, charges had not been determined.

Neither man has been identified. Both the victim and the suspect are described as being in their early 20s.

A handgun believed to have been used in the shooting has been recovered.
