It was last week when a woman standing outside one of our local casinos had her purse snatched.
You may remember seeing these pictures on the news. They were taken by surveillance cameras located outside the casino. Police believe these are photos of the man who stole the purse and the getaway car. In fact, just a couple of days ago, the suspect was arrested.
It's not uncommon to have surveillance cameras watching us. Almost every store has them in the parking lot, at the entrance, and inside the store.
Many cities have cameras set up watching for criminal activity on city streets. Some schools have these cameras.
There are traffic cameras watching us as we drive around town. It's almost as if our every move is being captured by a camera somewhere.
Now there are those who say they are concerned about 'Big Brother' always watching and that these cameras can be abused by authorities. But I bet the woman who had her purse stolen the other day is glad those cameras were there.
Otherwise, the suspect may never have been identified. Let me know what you think about this. I'm James Smith.
