LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
A drunk driver was arrested for DWI Sunday morning after driving his U-Haul truck into the front of Lubbock's Texas Roadhouse.
Around 7:30a.m. Neil Cavanaugh, 50, drove his U-Haul truck across the access road of Loop 289 straight into the building leaving a huge hole and broken bricks everywhere.
"A lot of my employees are out here; we really rallied quickly," said Stefan Gentry, Texas Roadhouse managing partner. "We're trying to get a wall put up so we can at least get open. There's a lot of damage."
Only four tables were damaged, and the restaurant was able to open just an hour late at 12:30 p.m. Roadhouse management says they're planning on charging Cavanaugh for the damages and for lost sales.
