Diboll man gets 400 days for breaking into officer's car

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A Diboll man pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to burglarizing a DPS officer's personal vehicle, accepting a 400-day state jail sentence.

Alvaro Luis Tovar, 25, pleaded guilty to theft, which is enhanced to a felony due to two previous convictions.

According to a previous report, Lt. Mickey Hadnot of Lufkin DPS said the suspect stole a purse with some credit cards in it from the vehicle that was parked at his residence.
