United Way agencies have begun their annual campaigns to raise funds to help our communities. This year, more than ever, there are so many agencies and needs that could use your help.
The United Way provides a safety net in the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter.
It also works on initiatives to improve the health of children and adults by avoiding risky behaviors and works in the schools to cut the high school drop out rate.
Many Ark-La-Tex companies allow their employees to make a contribution and deduct so much per week or month from their pay check. In fact, some companies match what their employees contribute.
We encourage all companies and their employees to participate in the United Way campaign.
