I'm proud to announce that once again, KSLA News 12 is teaming up with the Homebuilders Association of Northwest Louisiana to give away a brand new house.
This is the third year of the House for Hope raffle. Money raised will benefit Community Renewal and help build a new Friendship House in the Queensborough Neighborhood in Shreveport.
The Friendship House helps to turn a distressed neighborhood around.
This year's house will be a four bedroom, three bath home, located in Les Maison Sur La Rouge Subdivision in Shreveport. The estimated retail value of the home is $370,000. Raffle tickets cost $100 each. Only 7,000 will be sold.
The house will be given away during a LIVE drawing on KSLA News 12.
It's a win-win situation. Buy a raffle ticket and maybe you'll win a brand new house or other prizes. At the same time, you'll be helping Community Renewal an the good work they do for others in the Ark-La-Tex.
The officials kick off is Tuesday, Feb. 8 and tickets will go on sale that day as well. Starting Tuesday, details will be available online at KSLA.com for you to learn more about the 2011 House for Hope raffle, Community Renewal and Friendship House.
I'm James Smith.
