This week, 12 volunteers in the Ark-La-Tex were honored with a special banquet.

The 11 individuals and a Girl Scout troop were profiled last year in our newscasts as part of the KSLA News 12 Volunteers Program.

We teamed up with United Way and the Volunteer Center to make it happen. All 12, do incredible volunteer work in our communities. This was just one way to tell them thanks and maybe inspire others to also pitch in and volunteer.

The Volunteer Center is a great place to start.
