SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport police have arrested 1 of their own.
Officer Dadrien Updite Sr. was booked into the parish jail Tuesday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.
Bill Goodin, a spokesman for the department, says Updite's wife called early Sunday to report that her husband had attacked her last week. After an investigation, Goodin says Updite was arrested.
The 30-year-old officer joined the police department in July 2008. Chief Henry Whitehorn has placed Updite on administrative leave pending resolution of the case.
