A Cold Front will track into the ArkLaTex overnight.  It won't bring us much chance for rain.  But, it will drag a few clouds across our skies and shift the winds out of the north for Saturday.  As a result, we'll have cooler weather.  Highs on Saturday are in the mid to upper 50s.  Lows on Sunday will be in the upper 20s for most places.

Temperatures rebound next week.  That's when we'll see our next chance for rain just in time for Groundhog Day.

    A storm survey team from the National Weather Service in Shreveport has discovered an EF0 tornado track in southern Sabine Parish in the Peason area  that occurred during Wednesday's storms.

  • The National Weather Service has done surveys on the wind damage from storms near Blanchard, Louisiana and around Sydney Street in the Martin Luther King neighborhood of Shreveport. They determined this damage to be the result of "MicroBurst" winds. This is the result of rain-cooled air accelerating downward. In a storms and spreading out at a destructive speed when it hits the ground.
